Belly Full takes you on a journey across the UK, with stories that begin as far back as the 1950s. Whether it's in London, Liverpool or Leeds, you quickly realise these places are so much more than quick pitstops for food. These establishments mean so much to their local communities, not to mention that the families and people behind them are local legends in their own right.
As insight to Afro-Caribbean food still lags behind other regions cuisines and as these places and people were so often overlooked in the telling of their areas' histories, I thought I would take on the challenge and try my hand at telling their stories about their food history and culture.
